This verse is a declaration of ultimate submission and surrender to the will of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ). It is recited at times of loss, grief, or trial, affirming that everything we possess—including our lives—is a trust from Allah, and all will eventually return to Him. It brings peace to the grieving heart and patience (ṣabr) in calamity.
This Ayah soothes the soul in times of sorrow. It reminds us that nothing is lost, only returned—to the One who gave it.
And as always, لله أعلم (God knows best).
