This verse is a direct, intimate address to Allah (تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى), affirming exclusive devotion (‘ibādah) and total reliance (isti‘ānah) upon Him. It is a pledge that our worship is only for Him, and any help we seek — whether in difficulty or ease — must come through His will and mercy. This verse reflects the essence of Tawḥīd (Islamic monotheism).
This verse reminds us every day in every prayer: our purpose is worship, and our strength comes only from Him.
And as always, لله أعلم (God knows best).
